The External Representation of Block Designs

This document together with the related supporting files should be of interest to those working in combinatorial or statistical design theory, as well as those interested in the development of standard electronic formats for mathematical objects.

Current DTRS protocol version is 2.0 .

Please note, version 2.0 is not backward compatible with 1.1. The reason is the structural change on the top level in the ext-rep tree:

The sequence of block_design-s is now enclosed by a designs tag.
The info subtree has been moved to the beginning, preceding designs.

Inside block_design however, there have been no changes. In particular, the semantical definitions of components described in the documentation for version 1.1 are still valid.
